Found this through nerd.nyc. Good idea to post some of the self-help stuff you've accumulated. I've got gobs of it myself.
I find I have the same problem as you, keeping myself motivated to continue writing new stories. I'm in desparate need of a consistently meeting writer's group. I need the deadline and the insightful comments. I'm tired of friends reading my stuff and saying, "Um, yeah, it's good." Know of any good groups for sci-fi/fantasy fiction? Or do you want to help me form one?
Hey Bob,
Sorry to say I don't know any good groups for sci-fi/fantasy. I used to know two crappy one's, but that's not much help. Give me about 6 months of writing and learning, and then let's talk again about putting together a good writer's group for sci-fi/fantasy. Assuming enough people are interested, I'd also consider building an online writer's group. But now that I've taken a first crack at getting all these self-help books structured, I really want to see what I can learn from applying myself to the course material, first.
